PolicePolice appeal for information following armed robbery at Hurlstone Park

SYDNEY, Australia - Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery in Hurlstone Park last night.





About 9:40pm, (Monday 9 June 2008) a number of people were working and drinking at a hotel on New Canterbury Road, Hurlstone Park when three men entered the hotel by forcing the automatic sliding doors open.

It is alleged that the three men entered the hotel armed with a handgun and a knife and had their faces covered. The men allegedly threatened staff members and demanded money before making their way to the bar areas where they stole cash from the registers.

The three men ran out of the hotel and were last seen running west on Dunstaffenage Street.

Police were contacted a short time later and attended the premises. A crime scene was established and a forensic examination of the location was conducted. No one was injured during the incident.

The first man is described as being approximately 180cm tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black-coloured hooded top, dark jeans and black runners.

The second man is described as being approximately 175cm tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black coloured top and black coloured t-shirt.

The third man is described as being approximately 170cm tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black coloured top with white circles on it, a white t-shirt and dark coloured running shoes.

Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact Ashfield Detectives on 9797 4099 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
