Under the New7Wonders evaluation framework, Vietnam's representative stands out across three core pillars: Environment & Nature, Smart Cities and People-Centered Development.
On Environment & Nature, the project draws on a rare coastal setting: it fronts the sea in Can Gio and borders the 75,000-hectare Can Gio Mangrove Biosphere Reserve, recognized by UNESCO. Spanning 2,870 hectares with a building density of just 16%, the development devotes a substantial share of its land to greenery and water, anchored by the 800-hectare natural saltwater Lagoon Lake at the heart of the urban area.
On Smart Cities, Vinhomes Green Paradise integrates the Internet of Things (IoT), big data and artificial intelligence into urban management, operations and environmental monitoring, creating a modern, safe and well-run urban environment.
The third pillar, People-Centered Development, reflects the project's philosophy of placing people at the heart of urban development. It takes shape in an integrated ecosystem of internationally oriented healthcare, education, senior living, culture, sports and entertainment.

From Global ESG Standards to Regenerating Forests
What sets Vinhomes Green Paradise apart at its core is a development strategy that reaches beyond conventional sustainability frameworks. Rather than stopping at compliance with global ESG standards, the project is pioneering an enhanced ESG++ framework built on five pillars: Environmental, Social, Governance, Regeneration and Climate Adaptation.
This green vision is embedded from the construction stage onward. One example is K-DPM, a technology that transforms soft soil and dredged sediment into durable fill material, helping reduce indirect emissions and pollution while curbing reliance on natural sand extraction.
Once operational, the urban system is designed for comprehensive decarbonization, with a target of sourcing 100% of its electricity from clean energy, including offshore wind farms located 20 kilometers off the coast, complemented by solar power and battery energy storage systems.
Internal mobility is also designed around a net-zero-emission model, combining electric cars, motorcycles, buses and bicycles with electric boats, alongside a high-speed rail connection linking the development directly to central Ho Chi Minh City.
Beyond environmental compliance, Vinhomes Green Paradise places strong emphasis on conserving and regenerating native ecosystems while supporting Ho Chi Minh City's broader climate-adaptation strategy.
