Kistler strengthens Asia-Pacific presence with new regional headquarters in Malaysia

The site serves customers in Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea, India, Australia and New Zealand and combines customer engagement, application engineering, technical support and logistics in one location.

A long-term commitment to Asia-Pacific

Asia is an important growth region for Kistler. As stated in its annual results, the company expects stable development across Asia and is investing in strengthening its presence there. "Our customers in Asia-Pacific expect a partner who understands their applications and is there when it counts. With our new headquarters, we are closer to them than ever and are building a strong base for our future here," says Marc Schaad, CEO of the Kistler Group. The opening was attended by Kistler's global leadership team, the Swiss Ambassador to Malaysia, Chantal Moser, and representatives of the Swiss Malaysian Chamber of Commerce.

Measurement technology for industry and infrastructure

Kistler measurement technology supports customers across the region in industrial manufacturing, research and infrastructure. One example is the Penang Second Bridge (Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Bridge), one of Malaysia's most important transportation links. Kistler systems installed on the bridge provide accurate traffic and load data that help protect the structure and support its long-term operational reliability.

With its new headquarters, Kistler will expand its collaboration with customers, academic institutions and industry partners, helping them transform measurement data into valuable insights that improve quality, increase efficiency and enable innovation.

Kistler is the global market leader for dynamic pressure, force, torque and acceleration measurement technology. Cutting-edge technologies provide the basis for Kistler's modular solutions. Customers in industry and scientific research benefit from Kistler's experience as a development partner, enabling them to optimize their products and processes so as to secure sustainable competitive edge. Unique sensor technology from this Swiss corporation helps to shape future innovations not only in automotive development and industrial automation but also in many newly emerging sectors. Drawing on our extensive application expertise, and always with an absolute commitment to quality, Kistler plays a key part in the ongoing development of the latest megatrends. The focus is on issues such as electrified drive technology, autonomous driving, emission reduction and Industry 4.0. Some 2,000 employees at more than 60 facilities across the globe are dedicated to the development of new solutions, and they offer application-specific services at the local level. Ever since it was founded in 1959, the Kistler Group has grown hand-in-hand with its customers and in 2025, it posted sales of 424 million Swiss francs. About 9 percent of this figure is reinvested in research and technology – with the aim of delivering innovative solutions for every customer.
