Ford Bronco SUV Is A Few Months Later

  • Written by Aleksei Titov

Ford unveiled its Bronco novelty in three- and five-door versions in mid-summer 2020. Production still hasn't started. One of the most expected models of American car brands is being delayed till the summer of the new year.

The new Ford Bronco will be a revival of the iconic American SUV model. It will be the sixth generation of the car, which ceased production in 1996. And the Bronco was first introduced to the world back in 1968. Over the years, it has become a true legend of the brand.

The design of the new SUV largely repeats the appearance of the iconic first-generation, with a glimpse of modernity. The body shape of the novelty is almost identical to the structure of the famous car. Designers even decided to repeat the optics of that "American". The car will be available in a classic three-door and five-door versions. The five-door version is the first in the history of this model.

In contrast to the legend, now the chrome decor elements were replaced by unpainted plastic ones. There is also an inscription on the radiator instead of the brand name. As before, you can easily remove the roof and doors. The five-door Bronco will have a soft or hard roof, while the three-door will only have a hard one.

The interior of the SUV will remain quite ascetic. But now there will be expensive finishing materials and a modern multimedia system with a huge touch screen and rich functionality. Besides, the dashboard will have special mountings for gadgets.

The car will keep its frame construction. The manufacturer promises good waterproofing of the interior. The engine will be started with a button. There will also be modern safety systems and electronic assistants. The surprising thing about the new Bronco is the absence of the iconic Ford logo on the bonnet and grille.

Ford presented Bronco in July 2020. Production of the Bronco will be at the plant in Michigan (they also assemble Ranger pickups there). Initially, it was expected that the car will be on the conveyor at the beginning of 2021, and in the spring of the same year, cars will be already started to be shipped to dealers.

However, at the beginning of this month, it became known that the start of the novelty is delayed. Then the company explained that due to a virus there were problems with several suppliers, the result was a change of the start date of the SUV. Then it was quite vague about the spring of 2021. And the cars should have been sent to the dealers in the summer.

Now there is more accurate information: according to Bronco6g.com, Ford will start producing Bronco at its plant in Michigan on May 3, 2021. And the first cars will reach dealers at the end of next month. The report says Ford will allow dealers to take orders for the Bronco as early as January 2021, with pre-production run on March 18.
